April 13th IS OUR FIRST ANNIVERSARY!!!

Well it's hard to believe that it has been a year, but it has. April 13th, 2007 was the first time we played in public. Man was I a nervous wreck. Thank god Bud and his cousin James Beam were there to help me get through it. Even Jimmy, Joe and gary were a bit nervous and they are well seasoned pro's. It has been a very enjoyable year for us and I hope for you too. On April 11th 2008 we will be at Swansea and we will be celebrating our first anniversary. I'm in the process of getting some attendance prizes and other things for that night. Hope to see you there. Oh yea, Joe says it's okay for you all to bring us a gift!! Sometimes I just don't know about that guy!

Happy New Year to everyone. It's hard to believe that another year has come and gone. We really do thank everyone for their support the past year. It has been a lot of fun! It is hard to believe the number of bookings we are getting, and the good crowds that show up each night we play. And it's not even been a year. We sure hope you are having as much fun as we are. New Years Eve was a treat! I think it is safe to say it was a sell out with a lack of seats. It was a good time had by all. Keep checking the schedule page as things are starting to fill in for 2008. We already have a couple of summer picnics booked and hope to add a few more.

New Years Eve Update!

Here is the latest information for New Years Eve at Swansea Improvement.

We will play from 8:30 to 12:30.  The cost will be $25.00 per couple or $ 15.00 per person in advance, 30.00 and 20.00 at the door. This will include snacks, free draft beer, $ 1.50 longnecks for those that don't like draft, specials on soft drinks for the designated drivers, a bottle of Champaign and party favours. Some other amenities may be added later. Tables can be reserved for groups of 6 or more and you will be able to pick your table at least early on. More will be posted as it comes available.

Come on out to Big Ma Ma's BBQ at Clinton Hill's Country Club on September 21st. This is our first time playing there. They have a buffet and drink specials and there will be room to dance. ( clink on the link on the play dates page if you need directions.)

The benefit for Claude Davison will be held on Saturday July 21, 2007 at DJ'S Cove in Keyesport. The band will play from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00p.m. There will be plenty of food, drinks, drawings and fun! You can click on the link on the schedule page for a map and directions.

The Cactus Moon Band will play a benefit for Claude Davison and his wife Hutch on July 21, 2007. Claude has recently undergone numerous operations for cancer. The benefit will be held in Keyesport, Il ( Carlyle Lake)  The exact time and place has not yet been determined. Claude is really a great guy and needs a little help. Come out have a great time and lets help this family out. Please mark you calenders and check back for updates.

Cactus Moon Band To Open 2007 Fair!

The Cactus Moon Band will open the 2007 St. Clair County Fair. The band will be playing under the stars in the beer garden Tuesday August 7, 2007 from 8:00 p.m. to Midnight! There will plenty of room for dancing. Hope to see you there!!!

Cactus Moon Band Can Koozies

Just in time for summer we soon will have available our new can koozies to keep those cold drinks cold while your out dancing, or just listening to the music. They are available in royal blue (pictured), navy, black and red. You can get one for a buck, or catch one flying across the dance floor.

The band will be playing one Friday a month at Swansea Improvement. The next date is Friday May 4, 2007.  We are looking for ways to make the dance floor a bit larger by changing the layout of the tables. Keep checking the web site for future play dates.

New Years Eve  2007

Even though it is still 8 months away,  The Cactus Moon band has already been booked for New Years Eve 2007. We will be at the Swansea Improvement Association. The New Years celebration will be open to the public. More details will follow in the coming months.
